Most venture decisions in the African startup ecosystem are still made on pitch quality, warm introductions, and gut feel. Castalia applies a structured, evidence-weighted framework instead — the same standard for every founder, every studio, every investor.
Castalia is the customer-facing platform for SVIE OS— the Strategic Venture Intelligence & Evaluation Operating System. It structures venture evaluation across 9 phases and 50 modules, using 19 Global Evaluation Standards (GES-01 through GES-19) to produce a scored, evidence-weighted Decision Gate outcome instead of a subjective impression.
Four tracks serve the three audiences the framework was built for: founders run the MVE or Readiness track to know exactly what to fix before fundraising; studios and accelerators use the Screening track to pre-select cohorts on one shared standard instead of who pitches best; investors and grant-makers use the Investor Due Diligence track, requiring a minimum Level 3 evidence bar throughout.
Explore the full framework →Founders fly blind — they don't know what questions investors will ask, or in what order, until they're already in the room.
Studios and accelerators screen on pitch performance, not validated evidence, because building a rigorous evaluation process from scratch is expensive and slow.
Investors see the ventures that pitch loudest and have the warmest introductions — not necessarily the ones that fit their thesis or have the strongest underlying evidence.
